The Giants Causeway can be visited  at anytime of the year, the causeway stones and pathways around the area never close. The upper cliff walk around the headlands and causeway forms part of the Ulster Way.  The new Causeway Visitor Centre will open in June 2012  and will have and inclusive charge of £8.50 per person for the 'Causeway Experience', the centre will have the latest technology applied to interpretation of the causeway plus a cafeteria and retail oulet within it.

The surrounding area has a good variety of accommodation for the visitor including self catering cottages, apartments, guest houses, bed and breakfast and hotels. The main attractions of Dunluce Castle, Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge and the Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery are only a few miles apart so it is very easy to visit two site in one day with lots of time to explore and relax inbetween.

The nearest village is Bushmills which is two miles away, this has cafes, restaurants, a post office, gift, craft  and other retail shops. It also has a four star hotel, hostel, bed and breakfast accommodation, guest houses and an award winning campsite with all the facilities for mobile homes. Both the Giant's Causeway and Bushmills are on the designated Causeway Coastal Route.
